Honest and fair. It was such a great experience to be treated with respect. Everything went smoothly and the cost was more than fair. I would definitely recommend them.
I had an outstanding experience at the AAMCO transmission specialist and Car Care facility located in Alpha, Ohio. I brought my 2005 PT Cruiser 2.4L turbo/Automatic Tranny in thinking I needed a highly expensive repair, but the team took the time to do a proper, thorough FREE diagnostic check of my transmission. - Bob Adams (Manager): Running a phenomenal shop, Bob ensures the entire process is transparent and genuinely cares about the customer's safety and budget. He followed up with me daily to provide me with an update and when the job was expected to be completed. He also informed me to return in 1500 miles to ensure my car was running smoothly. - Debrah Quirk (Service Advisor): Debrah was a lifesaver. Her and Bob explained exactly what was going on with my vehicle in terms I could understand, prioritized the immediate fixes versus what could wait, and helped me find the best financial solution. I never felt pressured or intimidated. - Scott Habshi (Transmission Specialist/Technician): The mechanical work is top tier. The tech went above and beyond to get my vehicle fixed efficiently and correctly the first time. My car is now shifting and running better than it has in years. Plus, he respected my vehicle and kept it clean. I received my vehicle the same way as I turned it in for the repair action Thank you to the whole team at Alpha, Ohio AAMCO. I'll absolutely be bringing all my vehicles here for future car care!
My take, is that this company is honest. I came in wanting a transmission flush. They wanted to do a complementary inspection (which I admittedly was hesitant about -- can't trust people now-a-days!). I agreed and they indicated that I would need a repair in my transmission, that they encouraged me to go to a deal and see if it was under recall, but were reluctant to do it themselves saying it'd end up costing us 2000+$ for the repair (which when you google it is a super lengthy repair to get to). They also recommended that I didn't need a transmission flush. Most places would just take your money and do it! The bill? -- We paid in brownies since they were so awesome to us. So long as the owner is who it is, we'll likely bring our car her for service in the future.
This place is amazing. I would give more stars if I could. They were fast, efficient and, most importantly, the communication was amazing. I will always recommend them.
Bob has taken care of me on three different transmission jobs in older vehicles I've owned. He has always provided me with hoeant professional service, and I've never had any issues with the work at this location. He was also very reasonable on my wallet.
